Hi there,
I am Laura, social media intern at #lnknits! Ellen asked me to write a fashion blogpost about the ss17 #lnandes collection and of course I feel very honoured to list up some of my favourites for you! ☺
1/ There’s one trend making a stunning appearance this fashion season: bright YELLOW. From lemon, to fluorescent, yellow is definitely at the top of my list. It’s so fresh, joyful and there’s a shade of yellow for every skin type. I think it lightens up your whole appearance immediately. The Sweet Sophie in cougar yellow is great to combine with a boyfriend jeans. It looks fab with a little tan though. Ugh, need to catch some sun asap.

2/ I am a huge fan of ton-sur-ton oufits. It’s a big time saver, so simple, yet fabulous, and above all very LN. In fashion terms, monochromatic dressing means wearing separates of one colour that have different textures and/or similar shades of that colour for an overall tonal look. A one colour outfit is everything but boring … quite the opposite actually! It can be a real eye catcher if you go all the way with a bright colour. Lots of fashion icons use this style technique: it gives an instant effortlessly chique vibe to your look. Jacky Kennedy, Twiggy and Gigi Hadid, but also lots of famous rappers like to display the ton-sur-ton trend, hehe!
Last week I wore jeans on jeans to the #lnknitsflagshipstore and Eva – the sales assistent – and me we’re amazed by how many different coloured LN scarfs suited my double denim look! However, we went for the Long Lucy in piscine to really emphasize the monochromatic theme. Side note: piscine blue is nearly sold out … in all styles. Be quick!

3/ The Pretty Pauline really deserves a special mention in my favourites list. Although some of you might think: Why would you choose a long alpacawool coat as a must-have for SUMMER? Well in my opinion it’s uniseason. The Pretty Pauline will keep me warm during chilly summer evenings and I can totally see myself wearing this oversized off-white coat at a festival with a white t-shirt, high waisted Levi’s shorts finished off with some tanned legs. (soon!)
If you’ve reached a certain age limit or you’re just not in the mood to throw a leg party and you want to dress a little more covered … go for white pants and monochromatize the hell out of your outfit!
