Yes, ladies and gentlemen. It is time for the crop top to move over because the cut-out shoulder top is back! It’s time to show some skin this summer (without the fear of a swollen belly after eating too much, hehe!) We absolutely love this trend and the Lacy Laura from the SS18 collection is the knitted proof of that.
Imagine strolling along the beach in this beauty. The sun shining, seagulls flying through the air, wavy hair, the smell of sunscreen. Ah, summer… we can’t wait!

As you can see, this top is not made out of the same material as the Mini Maria scarf for example. It is a bit sturdier and has a finer stitch. How come, you ask? Well, we call this material baby linen. It’s a mix of baby alpaca yarn and linen, which makes it the ideal summer blend and perfect to wear on your bare skin. Oh by the way! Apart from the bare shoulders, did you also notice the gorgeous detail on the front?

For this outfit, we specifically opted for ethical and local brands. Remember Raramuri for example? Designer Edel van Riet and his sandals were part of our Behold the Belgian Bunch in the summer of 2017. Buy one pair of flats and combine them endlessly with the wide variety of ribbons they have to offer.
Oh jeans… We absolutely can’t live without them. Sadly, their production isn’t always as honest and sustainable as we’d hope. But the Dutch brand “Mud Jeans” found a way to change that! Discover their story here.
And what is an outfit without accessories? The Belgian designer Natasha Casteleyn aka NimZu creates elegant and minimalistic jewellery for the everyday young woman who wants to step away from fast-fashion and searches for quality and craftsmanship at affordable prices. Especially the WindRose pendant caught our eye. Why? Because the LN collections are inspired by countries and stories and this pendant embodies that inspiration. Where to next?!
