Today we want to put another face behind LN in the spotlight: Ambitious Anke. She is a recent addition to the LN team. You might have already met, because since last November you can find her in the LN Flagshipstore on Saturdays. But who is Anke? We thought it would be nice to let her introduce herself, so here we go!
Hi Everyone, I’m Anke! I am a student Business and Economics at the KULeuven and I’m 22 years old. Let me tell you about how I became a part of this pretty awesome team!
New beginnings
I was still working at another company at the weekends. I was working there for almost two years and I got the feeling that I wanted to develop more, and learn more. I was not really looking for another job because I had a fun weekend job. But then one evening, I saw a post on Instagram from Ellen that they were looking for another student on Mondays and Thursdays. I didn’t have classes on Mondays and Thursdays afternoon, so I thought: ‘Why not take the chance?’. So at 10pm, I send an email to Ellen that I was a big fan of her brand and that I would love to work for her. The next morning I got an email back that Ellen and Lien wanted to see me. All wrapped up with my knits from LN, I went to the store to have a little chat with Ellen and Lien. After 10 minutes I got the job, and I could not believe it.
After 6 months of working at LNKnits I do not regret the decision that I made.
The next step
I did a voluntary internship at the LN Office where I learned a lot. I’m in love with all the beautiful pieces that are being made by the wonderful ladies in Peru. The LN Team is a small but happy family and our customers are a part of that family. That’s the thing I love the most at LN Knits.
