And then it’s time for the last blog post in this series (for now!) of happy customers. Some time ago, Wai Lam hurried after work to meet me in the LN Knits Flagshipstore. But who is this lovely lady? Wai Lam is a graphic designer from Merksem with a love for big and warm scarves.
“I’ve always been in love with big scarves. I think small and light scarves don’t fit well and don’t really have a purpose. One time I saw this big and cosy scarf at a friend’s place and immediately wanted one like it.” And that’s how Wai Lam got in contact with LN Knits. She saw, she looked up, she fell in love. What she loves most about LN Knits is the timelessness and the way the scarves and vests fit with almost every outfit.
This was five years ago already, so she has been a fan for quite some time. “I don’t buy something every season, because my savings account couldn’t handle that! (laughs) Sometimes I really have to tell myself to keep it in check, because I know next season’s items will also be pretty.” Although Wai Lam tries to reign herself in, she admits that she buys one piece on average each collection. “It doesn’t have to be a scarf, it can also be a vest, headband or beanie.”
The reason Wai Lam keeps coming back to our store is for the softness of the products and the way they fit with everything. “You can wear it however you want, more stylish or just for a quick walk to the night shop.”
And she admits that she’s trying to converse other people to the dark.. uhm LN side! “One time for my birthday I had a garden party and I had laid out all my scarves, in case my guests would get cold at night.” But it’s not only her friends she’s trying to convince of the LN warmth and softness, also her boyfriend is a target. “A couple of years ago I bought him a beanie and told him that all his other hats could go into the closet, because this one was better. And he really does wear it! (laughs)”
But of course, she also wears her stuff herself. While taking this interview with Wai Lam, she was wearing her gorgeous Big Bertha in Poppy Red that I couldn’t help but admire. It really stood out and completed her outfit, all the while keeping her warm because autumn has really arrived at this point. Combined with the grey Lovely Lutie it makes for a complete, woolly and cosy outfit. By the way, don’t you just love the combination with the sneakers underneath?
And then I was curious what her favourite piece from this season was. “That would be the Fine Filippa in duocolor Moss Green and Black.”
